Who is the Better Business Bureau (BBB)?
Founded in 1912, their mission is to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust. They do this by setting standards, encouraging and supporting best practices, educating businesses and consumers, addressing substandard behavior and ultimately creating a community of trustworthy businesses.
Receiving an official Better Business Bureau Accreditation is an honor – and not every business is eligible. Businesses that meet their high standards are invited to seek BBB accreditation. Business deemed to meet Accreditation Standards are presented to the BBB’s Board for review and acceptance as a BBB Accredited Business.
Final Phase Inspection is proud to be accredited by the Better Business Bureau. BBB does not compare businesses against each other but rather evaluates businesses against their standards – and their standards clearly speak to the character of competence of an organization.
The high standards set by the BBB govern the performance by which any business can (and should) be measured. Consumers deserve to expect quality service and support from their professional providers and the BBB is in place to help ensure the best practices are being applied consistently.
There are eight BBB Standards for Trust that the BBB expects its Accredited Businesses to adhere to:
– Build Trust (“maintain a positive track record in the marketplace”)
– Advertise Honestly
– Tell the Truth
– Be Transparent
– Honor Promises
– Be Responsive (address marketplace disputes)
– Safeguard Privacy (protect consumer data)
– Embody Integrity
